The National Convention elects the Board of Trustees, consisting of both alumni and undergraduate members, to run the Fraternity between Conventions. The Board, in turn, must make a complete report to the international Convention and, the International Convention can overrule any decisions made by the Board, since it is an interim authority. The Board may elect certain members to an Executive Committee and give them the powers of the Board when the Board is not in session. The Board elects the officers of the Fraternity, and it also engages an Executive Director. The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the Fraternity who directs the overall work of the Fraternity, but he does it through the Executive Director, who is a full-time professional Fraternity man. All trustees volunteer their time and service and receive no financial compensation except for expenses.
