Boysie Bollinger Leadership Academy - History

Regional Leadership Conferences had been an ongoing evolution of facilitator led weekends focusing on actively developing our collegiate leaders. These Conferences were originally established as the Fraternity’s Collegiate President's Academy in 2001. The funding for the Academy was in partnership with Phi Kappa Theta’s National Foundation.

In 2011, the single event President's Academy expanding into a regional format as an effort to grow the number of participants. Between 2011 and 2017, the Conferences served to actively develop 1,500 collegiate leaders through its curriculum.

In December of 2017, Phi Kappa Theta’s leadership met with Brother Donald 'Boysie' Bollinger (University of Louisiana at Lafayette, ‘71), and shared our vision for the next major evolution in our leadership development.

Starting in 2018, we wanted to design an experience focused on the development of a brother's individual purpose. The long term outcomes will be Phi Kap brothers living purpose driven lives, positively impacting society, Fraternity and God.

Believing in this vision, Brother Bollinger committed to an investment of $300k, $100k a year over three years (2018, 2019 and 2020) to ensure our vision becomes a reality. With his investment, the RLC's were officially been re-branded to be the Boysie Bollinger Leadership Academy.
